Welcome to East High School

East LogoRIGOR
The High Schools will improve our rigor and improve student academic achievement as measured by the ACT College Readiness Exam from the current 22.9 composite average (67% elective participation to the 24 composite average (100% participation required) by 2018.

RELEVANCE
PBIS, through consistent definition and enforcement, and the use of tiered positive support, will decrease our discipline referrals by a target goal of 25% from our initial implementation in 2012-2013, to the end of our third year of implementation in 2014-2015.

RELATIONSHIPS
The High Schools will improve our relationships through community involvement by increasing the number of community contacts by 10% each year.

ACT Testing at WBHS
We are happy to report that we have received new information that our 9th and 10th grade students can test in the building on the same day our 11th grade students take the ACT. This means that we will now have both our 9th and 10th grade students take the PLAN test at the same time our 11th grade students take the ACT. Rather than disrupt our normal school schedule on multiple days, the new testing rules mean that only one day of instruction is impacted. All 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will take these tests in the morning and be dismissed at 11:25. A grab-n-go lunch will be made available and busses will depart the high school complex at 11:25 a.m. Lastly, no 12th grade students should be here during testing. They are encouraged to schedule a college visit, prepare for AP exams, or study for their classes. If you have any questions, please contact Ralph Schlass at 335-5569.   READ MORE...
